Welcome to Carefree Arizona, a rural residential town of approximately 3,500 people -residing and 1,900 homes, on slightly more than 8 square miles in area. Carefree is located in the northeast portion of Phoenix between Anthem and North Scottsdale, nestled around Black Mountain.
Carefree is known for its natural beauty and integration with the Sonoran Desert as well as its clean, cooler air, minimal traffic, peace and tranquility. At an elevation close to 2,700 feet the temperatures in Carefree are typically 6 to 10 degrees cooler than Central Phoenix.

In the downtown area of Carefree you will find one of the largest sun dials in the country. Overall, Carefree is characterized by its charming small town artisan feel and quaint street names like Ho Hum Road, Tranquil Trail and Easy Street.

A new upscale condominium community called Easy Street is under development offering a lock and leave lifestyle with resort level amenities.
